Getting Started
How do I create my first story?
Click "Start Creating" on the homepage, share a childhood memory (50-1000 characters), choose an age range and illustration style, then submit. You'll receive a preview in 2-3 minutes.
What makes a good memory for a story?
The best stories include specific details: who was there, what happened, where it took place, and how it made you feel. Include sensory details like sights, sounds, or smells to bring your memory to life.
Can I edit my story after submitting?
Once submitted, we transform your story. If you're not happy with the preview, you can create a new version (up to 2 free previews). After purchase, changes cannot be made.
Orders & Delivery
How do I track my order?
Digital books: You'll receive an email with your PDF within 5 minutes of purchase. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. Physical books: You'll receive tracking information via email once your book ships (2-3 weeks).
I didn't receive my digital book
First, check your spam/junk folder. If you still can't find it, contact support@storybound.store with your order number (payment intent ID) and we'll resend it immediately.
Can I change my shipping address?
Contact support@storybound.store as soon as possible with your order number and new address. We can update it if your book hasn't been printed yet (usually within 2-3 days of order).
Technical Issues
The preview page is stuck loading
This usually means: 1) Your internet connection dropped, 2) The service is experiencing delays, or 3) Your browser blocked cookies. Try refreshing the page. If it persists after 5 minutes, contact support.
Payment failed but I was charged
If your payment fails, your bank may show a pending charge that will automatically be released within 3-7 business days. If the charge doesn't disappear, contact support@storybound.store with your order details.
The PDF won't open or is corrupted
Ensure you have a PDF reader installed (Adobe Acrobat, Preview, or similar). Try downloading the file again. If it still doesn't work, contact support and we'll provide a new file.
Account Management
Do I need an account to create a book?
No! You can create and purchase books without an account. However, creating an account gives you unlimited free previews and access to your order history.
How do I access my previous orders?
Check your email for the order confirmation which includes your book download link. If you have an account, log in to view your complete order history.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Contact support@storybound.store to request account deletion. We'll remove all your personal data within 30 days, though we must retain basic transaction records for tax purposes.
