By accessing or using Storybound ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Storybound provides an AI-powered platform that transforms personal memories into illustrated children's books. Our Service includes:

• AI story transformation and generation
• Custom illustration creation
• Digital PDF book delivery
• Optional physical book printing and shipping

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may use our Service with or without creating an account. Creating an account provides additional benefits such as unlimited free previews and order history access.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of the stories, memories, and content you provide to Storybound. By using our Service, you grant us a license to process, store, and transform your content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

4.2 Generated Content

You own the rights to the books created through our Service, including the transformed stories and generated illustrations. You may print, share, distribute, and use your books for any lawful purpose.

4.3 Content Restrictions

You agree not to submit content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains offensive, abusive, or inappropriate material
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Contains personal information of others without consent

5. Payment and Pricing

5.1 Pricing

Current pricing is displayed on our website. Prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.

5.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms and conditions.

5.3 Free Previews

Users without accounts receive 2 free previews. Account holders receive unlimited free previews. Previews do not require payment.

6. Refunds and Cancellations

6.1 Digital Products

Due to the custom and immediate nature of digital book creation, all digital sales are final. We do not offer refunds once your book has been generated and delivered.

6.2 Physical Products

Physical book orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, before printing begins. Contact support@storybound.store immediately to request cancellation. Refunds are not available once printing has started.

6.3 Defective Products

If you receive a damaged or defective physical book, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos. We will replace the book at no cost.

7. Delivery

7.1 Digital Delivery

Digital books are delivered via email within 5 minutes of purchase completion. Check your spam folder if you don't receive it. Contact support for redelivery if needed.

7.2 Physical Delivery

Physical books are printed and shipped within 2-3 weeks. Delivery times vary by location. We are not responsible for shipping delays beyond our control.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain consistent service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Storybound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Storybound and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact us at support@storybound.store to attempt to resolve the issue informally.

12.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

13. Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
